I've worn only Asics shoes for most of my 50 year running and racing career. Having worn so many different shoes from so many shoe companies early in my career I found that Asics had the best outersole (bottom) wear properties. That is, they were more durable and lasted longer since I'm particularly hard on this part of the shoe. My podiatrist recommended I wear a shoe that has the thickest midsole. The Asics Nimbus fits the bill because it offers the best midsole cushioning, which reduces whole body stress from the pounding...even though I only train on gravel or dirt (no pavement or concrete). This model is the closest to running on clouds...hence the name Nimbus.

My expectation was pretty, but Nimbus is a good shoes, but not great, I will rate Nimbus below Brooks ghost. Its better in cushion - still it wont be my too go shoes
